What are the responsibilities and job description for the MA/LPN/RN position at Primary Health Medical Group?
Primary Health Medical Group is seeking qualified applicants for an Emergency Medical Technician, Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Registered Nurse to work in our busy Urgent Care and Family Practice Clinics. As an employee you will receive customized orientation and training to help you be successful in your new role as well as learning opportunities to continue to grow in your skills. Staff members will work in a team environment to promote a positive experience in patient care with compassion and kindness. You will aide in providing an excellent patient experience by efficiently meeting the patient's needs and support licensed staff and the provider(s). By being positive and ensuring accurate communication with team members you will be supporting us in creating an efficient clinic flow.
Status: Full Time, 36 hours
Schedule: Thursday, Friday, Saturday 8 am- 8 pm
Location: Pediatric Clinic - 3280 E. Lanark Dr. Meridian, ID 83642
Responsibilities:
- Assist in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider and/or physician, which could include casting, bracing, and injections
- Provides clinical triage/communication as defined by protocol or per provider instructions
- Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients including sterilization, cleaning, and checks on medical equipment
- Prepare basic laboratory tests on premises and prepares laboratory specimens
- Perform Phlebotomy involved with proper collection, labeling, processing, and distribution of specimens for laboratory testing from patients of all ages
- Assist back office in managing patient flow, paperwork, and customer service
- Provide quality customer service and patient education based on assessment of needs
- Performs tests and procedures as ordered
- Accurately document patient encounters and interventions performed
- Relay provider instruction to patients
- Assist with all non-direct patient care tasks (autoclaving, stocking room, scanning records, mailing, etc.)
- Aids in identifying methods of improving patient care
- Assist Front Office Staff in managing details of patients, schedule and referrals
- Assists or leads in emergency situations
- Maintains confidentiality regarding patient and business functions of the organization, i.e. HIPAA
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- LPNs will have current Idaho nursing license
- Medical Assistants will have completed a nationally accredited program (EMT certification and experience will be considered)
- Venipuncture skills are required
- Previous clinical experience preferred
- Customer service oriented attitude/behavior
- Computer proficiency is required and ability to use applicable software as required performing the essential functions of the job
- Required vaccines to include COVID-19, annual Influenza, Hep B, TDaP, and TB.
