Description:
The A&E Detailer is responsible for creating and modifying construction-drawing packages that will be used for zoning and permitting. This position will also assist in the development of construction designs and layouts for various site configurations. Additional responsibilities include creating standard A&E drawings and notes, providing document control and quality assurance where applicable.
Essential Job Functions
" Create and modify A&E drawing packages and permit drawings for wireless tower sites (including equipment in the compound and antenna equipment on the tower).
" Interpret engineering designs, redlines, and incorporate into A&E drawing packages.
" Develop necessary templates used to create A&E drawing packages.
" Develop and maintain A&E block library.
" Perform quality assurance on A&E packages created by other A&E Detailers.
" Collaborate with A&E team/engineers to solve design issues that may arise.
" Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information through collaboration with the CAD department, tower structural analysts, project managers, and engineers.
Education/Certifications
" High School diploma or equivalent
" Associates degree in drafting
Experience/Minimum Requirements
" Must be proficient in AutoCAD
" Experience in the A&E field is preferred
" Advanced knowledge of telecommunications sites and equipment preferred
" Minimum of three (3) years drafting experience is preferred
" Knowledge of IBC, IMC, AISC Steel Construction and NEC Codes is preferred
Other Skills/Abilities
" Ability to work independently
" Proficient with Microsoft Suite
Working Conditions: Works in normal office setting 95% of the time, may travel to construction sites with exposure to heavy equipment.
