As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will work alongside a team of engineers and technicians to develop and bring new products to market. Key Responsibilities:
- Characterize and verify new product designs, including analog, digital, and embedded systems for patient care instruments.
- Design, execute, and validate test methods to ensure adherence to standards, product specifications, and system requirements.
- Apply theory and practical knowledge of antennas (LF & HF), matching circuitry, and radios within patient programmers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Electrical, Systems, Firmware, and IC Design) to troubleshoot design issues and conduct characterization and verification of electrical designs.
- Perform product performance analysis using DFSS techniques.
- Validate test environments comprising custom RF equipment, software, and test methods.
- Develop test methods and coordinate with certified test houses for global regulatory standards compliance, including IEC60601, ISO 14708-3, FCC, and ETSI.
- Work with minimal supervision while ensuring adherence to quality policies and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with international teams and travel globally as needed.
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant engineering experience OR an advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- BS or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- Medical Device Industry Experience.
- Experience in electrical design and development for patient care instruments.
- Hardware integration experience with RF subsystems.
- Hands-on experience designing analog and digital circuitry on custom PCBs.
- Experience with verification and validation of Class II and Class III medical devices.
- Experience in developing automated test benches.
- Expertise in validating test scripts, methods, and systems.
- 4 years of Electrical Product Development experience for Class III medical devices and/or Patient Care Instruments.
- Experience developing and validating test methods and systems for verification of Class III medical devices and/or Patient Care Instruments.
- Electrical design experience with analog and digital circuitry on custom PCBAs.
