The Prince William County, Department of Social Services (DSS), is seeking a results-oriented and tech-savvy professional to provide leadership for staff in the Customer Support and Services Division.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED and 5 years of related experience.
ABOUT THIS ROLE:
In this role you will work closely with other managers who supervise administrative support staff and functions. You will directly supervise 8 to 10 support staff who are responsible for providing internal and external customer service by email, face-to-face and over the phone; scanning, indexing, and uploading documents; conducting system research and uploading results to case records; preparing and distributing reports; and monitoring fax lines and division email inboxes. This position will support and monitor an internal DSS call center. You will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring performance and productivity standards are consistently met by all team members. In collaboration with other managers, you will be responsible for ensuring coverage of all administrative and customer service functions. In addition, you will provide and/or facilitate training for administrative support staff. PREFERENCES:
Working knowledge with Virginia SNAP and Medicaid programs- Experience navigating through VaCMS
- Prefer supervisory or equivalent experience
- 2-3 years of customer service experience
- Participation and/or training in process improvement processes
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS: 37.5 hours per week M-F. Potential for telework.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: All Social Services staff members are required to provide emergency human services work in the event of an emergency or disaster.
STARTING SALARY RANGE: $79,009.00 - $113,896.00/yr.
