Pritt’s Painting Company is seeking a full time Project Manager for the Columbus Ohio location. Pritt’s Painting Company is a fast growing commercial painting company serving the Columbus area performing commercial painting, light industrial painting, and epoxy floor coatings. The position of project manager is to produce projects at a profit and perform occasional takeoffs and pricing for change orders while ensuring an excellent experience for all stakeholders-the customer, the team, our industry partners, and the community.
About the job:
Manage projects from acceptance through completion including:
Customer Communication and Satisfaction
- Attend all required meetings with the client or client representative.
- Update on issues, change orders, and all updates required.
Project Documents
- Create project file
- Ensure all required items are submitted and approved prior to the project start.
- Ensure all appropriate project documents are uploaded to the field portal.
- Update update drawings as needed
Change Orders
- Perform quantitative takeoffs from blueprints and/or onsite and prepare pricing for change orders.
Billing
- Communicate change order and billing information to the accounting department.
Scheduling and Manpower
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels are anticipated and met with support from operations team
- Communicate with operations about progress, additions, and delays.
Equipment and Materials
- Ensure submittals are approved and documented
- Ensure materials are ordered and delivered as needed.
- Ensure equipment is ordered and available as needed with the support of the operations department.
Saftey
- Monitor and ensure all safety policies are being followed at all times.
- Document and report issues including jobsite incidents to management
In Progress Project Management
- Visit job sites as appropriate to manage quality, safety, and project budgets.
- Perform final punch and project close out including attic stock, warranty letters, etc.
About you:
- You have previous project management experience in construction, preferably painting.
- You have at least a basic understanding of blueprints and are interested and open to becoming proficient.
- You are comfortable and proficient in using cloud based technologies and microsoft applications..
- You have excellent verbal and written communication.
- You are calm under pressure.
- You are organized and detailed.
Schedule:
- M-F 7-4:30
- Occasional after hours or weekends if required.
- Splitting time between our Worthington office and the field.
Compensation and Benefits:
- $70,000-$80,000 per year with incentives.
- Potential and expected earnings to be $100,000 annually
- Up to 3 Weeks Accrued PTO depending on experience.
