Job Summary:
Working within a team environment, the Controller is responsible for the company’s accounting and finance operations, including developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. This position identifies objectives, strategies, and action plans to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting and finance operations.

Supervises: Finance and Accounting Department
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial results, including but not limited to P&L, balance sheets, cashflows and variance reports.
- Prepare, maintain, and distribute financial dashboards, scorecards, metrics and operating KPI's.
- Review statistical reports and complete benchmarking and cost reports.
- Oversees financial and accounting system controls and standards and ensures timely financial and statistical reports for management use.
- Develops and implements written policies and procedures which reflect accurate and quality oriented financial services, compliance with all regulatory requirements and sound fiscal practices.
- Oversees the development and implementation process of new procedures, tools, software, control systems and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
- Analyzes and interprets financial data and recommends changes to improve systems and financial performance.
- Accounts Receivable management and provide guidance relating to the collection process.
- Oversee weekly cash management and manage accounts payable and payroll to ensure that all expenditures are made in accordance with the Company’s policies.
- Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of a contract/purchase order system and maintains vendor records files.
- Ensure company culture and employee engagement remains strong by living, demonstrating, and training Providence Care core beliefs to staff.
- Supervise the accounting department to ensure the proper functioning of all systems, databases, and financial software.
- Maximize staff performance and technical expertise through clearly defined objectives, training, skill development and performance evaluation.
- In line with the needs from company growth, recruit and development accounting team.
- Performs other duties as requested.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree with a Masters in Finance, CPA preferred; a minimum of five years of related professional accounting management experience in the financial healthcare sector; or the equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
- Experience within multi-region, geographically dispersed, multi-location health care service organization.
- Hands--on roll up your sleeves style.
- Experience developing policies, procedures, and systems to support growth while maintaining highest levels of quality and accuracy of financial records.
- Experience building finance and accounting infrastructure along with developing and standardizing processes.
- Experience financially supporting aggressive growth through de novo and integration of acquisitions.
- Experience preparing monthly income statements on a location, service line or consolidated basis in accordance with GAAP.
- Experience in the reconciliation of balance sheets and completion of monthly, quarterly and year end close.
- Seasoned judgment to apply broad knowledge and seasoned experience when addressing complex issues.
- Advanced financial acumen along with the ability to perform financial analysis and advanced skills working with data.to create and evaluate strategic options and opportunities.
- Driving execution within department by assigning clear authority and accountability; integrate and align efforts across functional areas; monitor results; tackle problems directly and with dispatch.
- Advanced oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Netsuite Accounting System
