Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Under the mentorship of experienced professionals, the candidate will:
- Assist in preparing design drawings using AutoCAD with input from engineers and landscape architects.
- Participate in field visits to gather visual and photographic site information.
- Support construction inspection activities with guidance from supervisors.
- Learn and apply New Jersey Stormwater Management Requirements and Land Use Regulations.
- Contribute to stormwater management design tasks for development projects.
- Research local, county, and state regulations to inform design decisions.
- Help prepare design plans and jurisdictional applications under supervision.
- Assist in reviewing construction documents including shop drawings and RFIs.
- Collaborate on writing technical reports with support from senior staff.
- Attend project meetings and assist with project documentation and coordination.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (recent graduates welcome)
- 0–2 years of professional experience in civil engineering or internships in a related field
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design software preferred
- Interest in learning about New Jersey site plan review and regulatory processes
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment and receive feedback
