Job Overview:
The Strategic Planning Specialist will play a key role in developing integrated media strategies and managing workflows between external and internal media teams. This role involves analyzing the performance of media channels, providing insights to key partners, and ensuring plans, optimizations, and results are clearly communicated. The candidate will also act as a strategic thought leader, guiding business stakeholders on budget allocation, media leverage, and creative messaging. Success in this role requires the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and effectively communicate challenges, solutions, and recommendations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop integrated media strategies to support marketing objectives.
- Manage workflows between external and internal media teams.
- Analyze media channel performance and provide actionable insights.
- Collaborate with marketing leads, media teams, creative strategists, and analytics personnel to build data-informed campaigns.
- Position as a strategic thought leader for business stakeholders, providing guidance on budget allocation and media strategies.
- Build media briefs, review media plans, and consolidate information into clear presentations for stakeholders.
- Oversee campaigns from concept to execution, including promotions, regional campaigns, and national brand awareness initiatives.
- Understand media specs, trafficking, and campaign reporting/optimizations.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of media planning and strategy experience; agency experience is a plus.
- Expertise in cross-channel tactical planning for performance and brand KPIs.
- Proven ability to leverage data and insights to build audience profiles and develop channel-level marketing strategies.
- Familiarity with traditional media channels (OOH, TV), digital advertising, and social media platforms.
- Experience measuring campaign impact and sharing results with actionable recommendations.
- Proficiency with syndicated research sources (e.g., MRI/Simmons, comScore) and social listening tools.
- Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple projects.
Education: BS/BA degree required
Preferred Experience:
- 4 years working at a media agency.
- Integrated media planning experience (digital, social, OOH).
- Experience with comms and audience strategy is a plus.

Pay Range: $50hr - $52hr on w2
