Job Summary
Applications are invited for the position of Research Operations Administrator to support several scientific projects being conducted within the Kelleher Lab in the Department of Psychological Sciences at Purdue University. The goal of the Kelleher Lab is to optimize outcomes for children and families affected by neurodevelopmental disorders by conducting cutting-edge research at the intersection of developmental psychology, technology, and clinical science. Currently, the lab is conducting several NIH-funded projects related to this goal, including a multi-site study that uses personalized health technology to inform how to best remotely support caregivers and children with rare neurogenetic disorders. The Research Operations Administrator will support the successful administrative operations of the Kelleher Lab across a variety of critical functions, listed below.
The successful candidate will work to achieve the day-to-day objectives of the research projects by providing exceptional administrative oversight, including by facilitating successful communication with project team members and stakeholders. They will be expected to make changes to systems and processes to improve the effectiveness of the team. Advanced candidates may work on more complex tasks within the project and oversee establishment of goals and deliverables; they may also support supervision of research staff.

- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA)

- Two years of prior relevant experience in administration of research or business
Required:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Professionalism as a collegial team member
- Strong organizational and time management skills with emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to efficiently multi task and meet deadlines
- Aptitude for detailed record keeping
- Fluency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

Preferred:
- Experience working with children, families, and/or neurodiverse populations; Experience with one or more University regulatory processes or systems (e.g. budgeting systems, institutional review board systems, contracting)
- Experience in research administration, familiarity with research reporting guidelines
