Job Summary
Purdue Extension is seeking a self-motivated individual who has excellent attention to detail, great communication skills, technology oriented, and understands the importance of proper brand use. The Student Web Content Specialist will work closely with the Agriculture Web Development team in moving content over from past websites, to the new platform. This position will sometimes work with Extension county offices and assist them with their county website needs, ensuring that all information is presented correctly and proficiently. This student will have the opportunity to assist web owners with the layout of their website pages and teach others on how to best use the tools that are available to them.
Required Qualifications:
The Student Web Content Specialist must have excellent attention to detail, clear verbal and written communication skills, ability to problem solve, self-sufficient and able to work independently, excellent grammar and punctuation, and the ability to learn new technologies.
Job Responsibilities & Skill Development:
- Student will be responsible for communicating with website owners on the needs of their site. The student will need to identify the steps needed in order to assist the web owners, and convey any information to the Agriculture Web Development team and supervisor.
Student must be able to collaborate and work well with diverse groups of individuals. This student must be able to work independently and self-start so that the required work is completed each week. This student must seek to assist website owners in enhancing their website, while remaining within brand standards and technology capabilities.
