Kaleidoscope Interventions specializes in evidence-based behavioral, speech, and occupational therapy to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related Developmental Disabilities. We are dedicated to providing treatment to strengthen the behavioral, social, educational, and daily living needs of children. We work extensively with individuals who exhibit a variety of developmental needs and challenging behaviors to build adaptive skills in the home, school, community settings and our clinic utilizing behavioral principles.

The Clinical Aide is responsible for assisting the Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT), lead RBT, BCaBAs and BCBAs in the delivery of behavioral and treatment goals to children with autism and other developmental disabilities. As well as assist in the maintenance of daily routines and cleaning responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Receives general direction and works under the general guidance of the BCBA and clinical administration and collaborates with the supporting staff.
• Supports and assists with the completion of day to day therapy tasks and activities in accordance with applicable child treatment plan goals and objectives.
• Observes and assists with the implementation of child’s treatment plans and group instructional activities.
• Ensures assigned checklist tasks and activities are completed timely and appropriately. (i.e.: session notes completed day of therapy with a situational grace period per BCBA of 24 hours).
• Gathers, assembles and organizes materials in the therapy room, as appropriate.
•Assists in observing and interpreting child activities while in the therapy room.
• Assists with data collection and reporting of child learning progress.
• Applies basic working knowledge and understanding of each child’s treatment plan skill acquisition short-and long-term goals and behavioral intervention plan (antecedent and proactive procedures).
• Attends and participates in team meetings. (Meet weekly with BCBA)
• Provides general feedback and updates to the BCBA and Clinical administration and supporting staff regarding therapy room activities, tasks and general observations.
• Adheres to and demonstrates appropriate childcare standards and practices, and consistently adheres to all company policies, procedures and practices of Kaleidoscope Interventions. (Per employee handbook and company SOP’s).
• Ensures a clean, safe, attractive and functional learning environment.
• Monitors children for signs of child abuse, and reports incidents of suspected abuse to appropriate staff(BCBA and clinical administration) and personnel immediately.
• Attends meetings, events and seminars as required by Kaleidoscope Interventions.
• Consistently demonstrates a high level of integrity, responsibility, accountability, teamwork and ethics.
• Checks company emails daily.
• Assists in RBT/lead RBT/BCBA with children who are not in problem behavior when other children are engaged in problem behavior.
• Maintains and acquire technical knowledge by attending required trainings. (rethink and clinical rethink)
• Maintains client confidentiality.
• Responsible for notifying the supervising BCBA when program flag or mastery criteria is met.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma or GED Certification
• Certified in First Aid/CPR
• 40 Hour Online RBT Training (prior to start date)
