RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Use manual and automated techniques to characterize RF power amplifier modules using equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, power meters, DC power supplies, digital pattern generators, and a variety of RF components
- Maintain laboratory readiness including inventory of tools and supplies, equipment calibration, ESD protection systems, bench organization, and general work area organization
- Perform periodic calibrations, checks, and maintenance on test equipment and test systems
- Track results using statistical tools
- Document test procedures
- Configure test equipment setups for various types of specialized RF test methods
- Troubleshoot electronic and computer controlled systems to the subsystem level
- Familiarity with Windows, at least one programming language, data manipulation, and data analysis
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree in technical field or equivalent trade or military training
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in RF Test or electronic test equipment, including power amplifier and semiconductor test in a design characterization environment
- Working knowledge of RF circuits and transmission lines
- Proficient with computer usage and configuration in a Windows environment, including usage of spreadsheet and word processing applications
- Working knowledge of RF test or electronic hardware and software equipment
- Candidates must be able to stand/walk up to 12 hours per shift
- Strong mechanical, electronic skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated problem solving ability and knowledge of SPC and how it is used and implemented in the manufacturing environment
- Basic computer skills MS Office
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Ability to work with minimum supervision in a fast paced manufacturing environment
- Good troubleshooting and mechanical ability
