Position Summary: This position is responsible for advocacy, legal resources, and outreach coordination of the Domestic Violence Unit. Accompaniment of victims/survivors of Sexual Assault Nurse Exam (SANE), law enforcement offices, prosecutor's offices, court proceedings, etc. will be expected. The candidate will provide advocacy and promote community awareness as pertains to domestic violence, Sexual Assault, Stalking, Dating Violence, and Trafficking to include planning and implementation of Healing Camps for victims and survivors.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provides support, referrals, interpretation, and related information regarding intake forms for victims/survivors seeking programmatic services.
  • Assist when needed to complete client intake forms and determine eligibility.
  • Conduct thorough case management on all cases to include follow-up contacts.
  • Initiate procedures to refer applicants to other programs for assistance and documentation.
  • Compile, record, and evaluate personal and financial data to verify completeness and to determine eligibility status.
  • Provide educational materials and information on domestic violence for awareness.
  • Provide advocacy and case management to victims/survivors of sexual assault and/or domestic violence, along with follow-up contacts to determine continued assistance.
  • Develop and implement cultural outreach events.
  • Provide records management, data collection, etc., as required by funding sources.
  • Support staff, volunteers, administration, partners, and program participants through regular communication and other team-building activities.
  • Clearly articulates department vision to motivate staff and community.
  • Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information including, but not limited to, program posters and flyers, crafting program descriptions for print and web, email distribution lists, and other community functions.
  • Organizes and schedules programs, presentations, and activities.
  • Coordinates use of association facilities for program activities and events.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours as approved by the Family Service Director.
  • Provide DV/SA educational materials and information for awareness.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Non-essential Job Functions:

  • Attend various meetings, seminars, and training as required by the funding agency in addition to approved meetings, seminars, and trainings, etc., by the funding agency.
  • May be required to provide training to volunteers, project partners, or new employees.
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must have a valid drivers license and be able to meet the minimum insurance requirements of the Quapaw Nations Motor Vehicle Policy.
  • Ability to think and act quickly, effectively, and responsibly under pressure.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with program participants.
  • Knowledge of practices and methods of dealing with misconduct
  • Ability to recognize and identify situations which have or may become a problem or emergency requiring immediate attention.
  • Ability to influence and motivate others to achieve ambitious outcomes.
  • Ability to communicate well with program participants.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and ability to understand and follow written and oral directions.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Effectively present materials and information to students and community groups.
  • Identify and respond to sensitive community and organizational issues, concerns and needs.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Worker must possess an absolute ability to maintain elevated levels of confidentiality.
  • Interact with children and adults from diverse social and economic backgrounds.
  • Shall be sensitive to the diversity of cultures.

Education & Experience:

The incumbent must have an associate degree or two years of experience in a related field. Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is acceptable.

Physical Abilities:

Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as regular reach above the shoulders; must be able to push, pull, and lift up to and including 25 pounds without experiencing physical discomfort or pain.

Working Conditions:

The work duties are performed in and outside an office environment.
