What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pricebook Administrator position at R. H. Foster Energy, LLC?
JOB PURPOSE
R. H. Foster Energy, a Maine-based, family-owned company has an immediate opening for a Pricebook Administrator to support our growing Convenience Retail line of business. We are looking for a reliable and diligent individual to administer, optimize our merchandise price book and data entry. The Pricebook Administrator will oversee the every day price book maintenance and provide “More than you’d Expect” customer service to our internal support teams. The ideal candidate will have IT competence and price book experience with PDI, Salesforce, or comparable back office inventory management platforms as well as experience with retail pricing strategies.
Responsibilities and Duties (other duties may be assigned).
- Manages PDI Pricebook, adding / maintaining items, costs, retails, and attributes related to inventory management and profit margins.
- Validates vendor EDI Pricebook and invoice imports, to include troubleshooting when errors occur.
- Processes Invoice, Cost and POS exceptions daily.
- Maintains product area of Wholesale Inventory using PDI modules for both imports and manual updates to ensure data integrity of Commissary items.
- Maintains site layouts within the PDI modules to support inventory counts.
- Works closely with external vendors and internal Category Managers to ensure proper items and pricing are entered on time.
- Works collaboratively with Accounting, Marketing, C-Store, and IT to analyze and troubleshoot issues related to Pricebook and Inventory.
- Utilizes internal lab to test complex promotional requests.
- Performs daily record keeping to backup changes made.
- Supports internal customers as it relates to Pricebook, utilizing Track-It helpdesk ticket system.
- Analyzes data utilizing PDI reports, Excel, Access database and SQL queries to identify areas of change.
- Arranges and presents data as requested.
- Develops efficiencies and maintains procedures related to Pricebook Department.
- Maintains a high level of understanding of all system functions / configurations and data flows related to and impacted by Pricebook entries.
- Tests PDI upgrades related to Pricebook during scheduled tests in test environment.
- Special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous Pricebook experience required, PDI Pricebook experience preferred.
- Experience with Inventory Management software required.
- Working knowledge of Retail operations and Marketing preferred.
- Standard computer skills required.
- Intermediate MS Excel skills required; Advanced MS Excel skills preferred.
- IT experience preferred.
- Other skills:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret large volumes of complex data.
- Ability to learn quickly and retain knowledge of process and procedures.
- Self-starter who can establish priorities and rely on experience and judgement to accomplish goals and objectives, meet rigid deadlines, and develop solutions to problems under general supervision.
- Ability to learn details of PDI system as it applies to the business units impacted by Pricebook entries.
