Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of facilities and equipment. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Must have a driver's license, as driving for deliveries and pickups will be required.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and facilities.
- Make deliveries of steel/equipment for R&S and R&S Steel Erectors.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using computer based software.
- Uphold safety standards and regulations to complete all jobs efficiently and safely.
- Maintain Tool Room organization and inventory
- Conduct inspections of facilities to identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
- Assist with general shop and office labor.
- Crosstrain in other areas of the shop when required to ensure smooth operations across the organization.
- Inspect building exits, extinguishers, chain/slings, keep accurate documentation.
- Other tasks as laborer
Requirements
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance.
- Proficiency in using maintenance tools.
- Previous experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also being a team player.
- Driver's license
- Background check and physical prior to employment - paid by employer
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods in maintenance practices.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
