What are the responsibilities and job description for the Golf Shop Staff position at Railside Acquisition LLC?
Description
The Golf shop staff is a 7-8 month seasonal position and candidates are expected to work a minimum of 4 days per week and at least one weekend day. Additional hours may be required during tournament weeks. Members of our golf shop staff must have an adequate knowledge of the game of golf as well as previous retail experience. All golf employees must also value being part of a strong team-oriented culture.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with the Golf Professional Staff in all aspects of the golf and retail operation
- Assist members and guests with the sale of golf shop merchandise
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment / sales floor
- Record and maintain special orders and returns
- Re-stock merchandise, create displays, and perform inventory when necessary
- Answer phones
- Accurately record tee times and other requests
- Handle opening and closing procedures
Skills
- Strong computer skills (Point of Sale, Golf Genius, Microsoft Office)
- Strong Verbal communication skills
Working Conditions
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift items over 20 pounds, hear and speak clearly.
