Manual QA Engineer

Job Summary

A Fortune 500 financial services client are looking for a Manual QA Engineer skilled in manual testing, JIRA, Postman for API testing, and SQL. The role is fully-remote and the team is located in Charlotte, NC. The role would require working EST hours.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Work within an agile team environment to perform software verification activities. Design, develop, drive, and deliver high-level test strategies, methodologies and take a hands-on approach to see that they are implemented timely and efficiently.
• Establish quality assurance best practices and benchmarks and drive adoption across the QA team.
• Implement metrics, analyze test data and results to identify patterns, report on risk status to development partners and influence software quality
• Drive continuous improvements in product testing processes (test plans, testing resources, etc.).
• Document and/or review testing results working closely with developers and product owners to resolve reported issues.
• Execute and maintain the automated test scripts, assuring continuous testing process.
• Show strong expertise in reproducing, analyzing, and finding the root cause for clients' issues
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 5-7 years of QA experience.
• Knowledge of various software testing methods
• Experience with API testing using Postman
• Ability to work in an Agile team environment and handle changing priorities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure and tight deadlines, and work independently.
• Ability to communicate with and present to engineers, senior management, and relevant stakeholders.
• Basic SQL knowledge
• Experience with Jira
• Experience with Databases
