Company Overview: RangeWay Carriers is a growing force in the transportation and logistics industry, focused on providing exceptional service and efficiency to our clients. To support our continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced Controller who can bring both strong financial expertise and industry-specific knowledge to our team. This role will primarily support RangeWay Carriers and its  other affiliated businesses.

Position Overview: As the Controller, you will oversee all aspects of financial management across our transportation and logistics operations, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budgeting, and the development of internal controls. This role requires an individual with proven experience in the industry who is ready to take charge of financial processes and drive strategic planning. Proficiency with McLeod software is strongly preferred, as it’s our primary platform for operations and financial management.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Extensive experience as a Controller or similar financial leadership role in the transportation or logistics industry.
• Proficiency with McLeod software for financial reporting, budgeting, and operations management.
• Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail, capable of making data-driven decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement financial strategies that align with business goals.
• Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills to work collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations of the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Utilize McLeod software for accurate and efficient financial management, ensuring data integrity across operations.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reports, and forecasts to senior management.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights to support decision-making and cost optimization.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial records.
• Lead audit processes, including preparing documentation and liaising with auditors.
• Work closely with operations and load planning teams to ensure financial alignment and support business objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
• 5 years of experience in a Controller or senior accounting role, with a preference for experience in transportation or logistics.
• Proficiency in McLeod software is strongly preferred; experience with other ERP or accounting software is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of financial management principles, budgetary processes, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
