What are the responsibilities and job description for the Principal Accountant position at Rauch North America, Inc.?

YOUR ROLE IN THE FAMILY:
- Main point of contact for external auditors, including preparation and coordination of annual financial audit.
- Coordinate tax provision calculations with external consultant.
- Reconcile and ensure payroll tax compliance.
- Ensure timely financial close.
- Monitor and review bank activities, ensuring accurate reconciliation with the general ledger (GL).
- Process and post A/R invoices, reconcile customer accounts, and coordinate with customer contacts.
- Generate A/R invoices for non-product-related transactions.
- Manage capital project accounting, ensuring proper tracking by project managers, reporting of expenditures and timely capitalization
- Oversee right-of-use accounting for fixed assets, ensuring compliance with lease accounting standards.
- Prepare and file TTB and sales/use tax returns in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Manage annual license renewals and regulatory filings.
- Compile and report U.S. Census data as required.
- Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring transactions align with organizational policies and regulations.
- Continuously review and enhance accounting and administrative controls for improved efficiency.
- Support internal and external audits, including process reviews and income tax return filings.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and yearly financial closings.
- Participate in special accounting projects and process improvement initiatives as needed.
- Ensure strict confidentiality in handling sensitive and proprietary information.
- Uphold company safety and compliance standards by identifying risks and ensuring a secure work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR TO JOIN OUR FAMILY?
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field required.
- Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of financial statement audit experience.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal tax regulations; CPA preferred or equivalent experience.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, legal documents, and technical journals.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while ensuring consistency, accuracy, and thoroughness in all tasks.
