What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Engineer position at RBC?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Ability to develop and implement new equipment for production.
- Create and maintain accurate work instructions, routings, and BOMs.
- Identify, develop, justify, and implement process improvement, cost reduction and quality improvement projects.
- Identify, develop, justify and implement safety and ergonomic improvement projects.
- Ability to design and model fixture components using Solidworks /AutoCad
- Maintain an accurate plant layout in AutoCAD.
- Implement improvements by using lean tools including Value Stream Mapping, 6S, Kaizen, Standard Work and Six Sigma.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of capital projects
- Attendance is an essential function of the job
EDUCATION:
- B.S. in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering degree required
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Computer skills - MS Office, AutoCAD,Solid Works or an equivalent CAD software.
- CNC Programing 4 axis milling and 3 axis turning experience
SKILLS / CERTIFICATIONS:
- Willingness/desire to learn and utilize lean manufacturing principles.
- Track record of taking ownership of work and displaying strong customer focus.
- Self-starter with the ability to establish, prioritize, and organize work tasks.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong communication skills.
