Job Purpose:

The Reading Rock Regional Distribution Center (RDC) Manager is an entrepreneurial driven individual who manages the day-to-day operations of the RDC and is focused on promoting and enhancing Reading Rock Business.

Responsibilities:

· Team Leadership: Work in a team-based platform and lead by example to implement continuous improvement initiatives for customer service team members to ensure the Industry’s Best Customer Experience.

· Industry Awareness: Stay abreast of the ever-changing needs of our customers to help properly position for sustained growth.

· Promotion: Maintain/upgrade displays, samples and other merchandise necessary to successfully show and sell the various product groups from the RDC.

· Inside Sales Support: Assist Outside Sales Associates by handling remote interactions with customers to maintaining customer satisfaction. Primary responsibilities are associated with order fulfilment, but pre-order functions could be involved.

· Operational Excellence: Activities include, but not limited to purchasing, order processing, inventory management, hiring/training/directing personnel, enforcing safety policies, controlling expenses, and general maintenance of the facility.

· Facility and Yard Management: Retain proper paperwork in a safe location, manage RDC cash drawer and supplies, manage sample program, and sustain a clean appearance for visiting customers.

· Conflict Management: Work with the appropriate sales professional to resolve matters affiliated with all key internal and external stakeholders for prompt and equitable resolutions.

· Policy: Comply with written policies in accordance with Reading Rock core values.

· Professional Development: Participate in and/or help coordinate training events to enhance skill sets when and where provided.

· Other position-related duties as needed & assigned.

Qualifications:

Education

High School Diploma; 2-year degree preferred

Experience

Construction Industry Experience: preferred, not necessary

Customer Service Experience: 3 years preferred

Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Current Forklift license

Language

Basic ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, using the English language.

Technology

MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel, ERP
