JOB TITLE: Maintenance Technician
DEPARTMENT: Manufacturing

SHIFT: Nights (7:00pm - 5:30am)

Candidates must be able to perform work involving the skills of two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or structure of an establishment in repair. Duties may involve pipe fittings; insulating; welding; machining; carpentry; or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; repairing building, floors, or stairs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for trouble shooting and repair of any electrical systems plant wide.
- Inspecting equipment, structures, or material.
- Performing general physical activities (climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling materials)
- Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily based on mechanical principles.
- Perform all types of plaint maintenance with working knowledge of all types of hand and power tools.
- Trouble shoot and repair machines.
- Can be assigned other tasks by supervisor when necessary.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED
- Post high school technical training or equivalent preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 3-4 years experience preferred.
- Industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of PLC’s preferred
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Excellent communication skills both internally and externally (customers)
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical and PLC controlled equipment and various types of automated manufacturing equipment.
- Able to communicate, cooperate and work well with others.
- Ability to learn full plant operations in a reasonable length of time and follow detailed instructions.
- Able to work according to current NEC regulations, able to design basic electrical prints fluently.
- Must be dependable; excellent attendance required.
