Job Summary

Are you passionate about helping people with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve their vocational goals? If so, you might be the perfect candidate for the Support Employment Specialist position at KPI Therapy. As a Support Employment Specialist, you will provide direct consumer services under the supervision of the KPI Therapy Program Director and assist participants in finding and maintaining successful employment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a job search and increase the job-seeking skills of participants through individual instruction
• Work with employers to identify job openings and make them available to participants
• Provide guidance and counseling as needed to participants to help them maintain progress toward their vocational goals
• Collaborate effectively with each participant’s support providers to ensure that services are participant-directed
• Write detailed and accurate daily notes and monthly progress reports in accordance with the waiver policies
• Complete all College of Direct Support training modules on time and to the KPI Therapy standard of excellence
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, sociology, or related field preferred
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Ability to use computer software such as Microsoft Office, Google Docs, etc.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
