Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

providing guidance of capabilities of RFCU facility and on site catering, identifying appropriate meeting room space, facilitating AV needs, facilitating rental from vendors as required (flowers, linens, etc.

security, billing and facility support. For all other RFCU locations, in addition to these requirements coordinates on site facility usage by approved caterer.

Coordinates and oversees Credit Union hosted employee events and seminars, hosted on site at RFCU location, including but not limited to;

providing guidance of capabilities of RFCU facility and catering, identifying appropriate meeting room space, facilitating AV needs, facilitating rental from vendors as required (flowers, linens, etc.

security, and facility support.

  • Supports event portion of Credit Union hosted community and member events and seminars hosted off site at an alternate venue as needed to include, but not limited to : coordination with venue event coordinator, catering, providing guidance of capabilities of venue to other RFCU Team members, communicating and ensuring availability of necessary AV needs, facility rentals from additional vendors as required (flowers, linens, etc.).
  • Work with clients as well as Blue Roof staff to fulfill requests, with consideration to available resources validates invoicing prepared by Blue Roof with catering request to ensure accuracy of number as well as identification of third part billing.
  • Utilize and record all meeting and catering detail in meeting room software and ensures that shared outlook calendar and meeting room calendar mirror information for room availability.
  • Support and provide back-up for Community Relations Coordinator with booths, volunteers and community events.
  • Serves as the back-up to the Chair of the RFCU Scholarship Committee
  • Maintains relationships with external vendors to contribute to the success of Credit Union events (i.e. photographer, florist, musicians, promotional product companies, rental companies, etc.)
  • Promotes the Credit Union by participating in community involvement and special events.

  • Follow all physical and online security procedures and maintain strict confidentiality of all member information.
  • Completes all required regulatory and compliance training and maintains required knowledge of Credit Union products and services.
  • Works scheduled hours and maintains punctuality.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Qualifications

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Education Requirements

4 Year / Bachelors Degree In Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field - Preferred

Experience Requirement

2 Years - Corporate catering and / or event planning - Required

Knowledge of the use and troubleshooting of audio / visual software / hardware - Required

  • Effectively apply internal and external customer service practices and processes to meet quality service standards and achieve member satisfaction.
  • Learn and apply information, on a wide range of Credit Union products, services and regulatory compliance requirements, in order to assess member situations and develop solutions.
  • Resolve problems utilizing advanced knowledge and experience.
  • Communicate in a professional manner and deliver information clearly and effectively. Actively listen to questions, opinions and ideas of others.

Use tact and diplomacy in sensitive and confidential situations.

  • Use correct English including spelling, grammar and punctuation.
  • Operate computers and use business software and other standard office equipment.
  • Understand and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Set priorities and manage one’s own time effectively.
