What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rehabilitation Practitioner position at Rehabilitation Support Services, Inc.?
An opening exists in our Capital District PROS Program for a Rehabilitation Practitioner. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch.
The PROS program is a person-centered, recovery-oriented model that serves adults recovering from mental illness. Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 1 year experience providing direct service relating to the care or treatment of persons with a designated mental illness. The preferred candidate will possess a Master’s degree and/or CASAC. Applicants should be extremely organized, dependable, and able to carry out and prioritize multiple ongoing tasks. The qualified candidate will be responsible for duties including, but not limited to the provision of group and one-to-one psych rehab services designed to assist participants in addressing mental health barriers in order to achieve life role goals. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. Need to be able to multitask and meet deadlines, including accurate and timely completion of all documentation. An understanding of the PROS model and the principles of psychiatric rehabilitation are a plus.
