The HVAC Preventative Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting the Residential HVAC Service Technician in the completion of service, installation, warranty, and PMA work per customer/office request or scheduled contract terms.

The HVAC Preventative Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting the Residential HVAC Service Technician in the completion of service, installation, warranty, and PMA work per customer/office request or scheduled contract terms.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for assisting Residential Service Technician in preparing for the day by loading all the equipment for scheduled jobs.
- Maintain company vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and organization, both inside and out.
- Willingness to learn and be teachable
- Actively involved in learning processes in:
- Residential service, installation of condensers, coils, furnaces, package and roof top units, mini split systems, thermostats, high efficiency air filters
- Installation and/or design of ducts for ventilation purposes.
- Installation and wiring of High Efficiency systems, zoning, humidifiers, Comfort Guard, and other peripherals.
- Quality control on layout, cleanliness, sealing the system, and overall install details.
- Completion of daily assignments/checklist in residential crawl space and attics. Complete required paperwork including daily time/payroll sheets and submit in a timely manner.
- Available to work occasional Saturdays.
- Participate in all company sponsored training classes.
- Work in and maintain a safe working environment.
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED
- EPA certification required.
- 0-2 years’ experience in the HVAC industry as an apprentice
- Must be 21 or older
- Must possess team spirit, and be able to work closely with maintenance, production, and engineering, and out of doors services.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
- Technical and mechanical competence
- Must pass MVR screening and maintain a good driving record
