What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personal Banker - Garner Office position at Reliance State Bank?
Major Function:
Responsible for assessing the deposit accounts needs of customers and helping them with the opening and closing of all deposit accounts, lock boxes, and debit cards.
Essential Duties:
- Assist customers in the selection and opening of accounts to meet their financial needs; including checking, savings, certificates of deposit, and safe deposit boxes.
- Obtain and process customer information when opening new customer accounts.
- Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations relating to all products offered by the bank to retail customers.
- Assist customers with online banking and business online banking.
- Backup and assist the teller line as needed.
- Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing accurate information, building rapport, and processing all transactions as efficiently as possible.
- Handle and resolve customer concerns to ensure the highest possible customer satisfaction.
- Promote bank products and services by identifying and communicating opportunities to customers.
- Maintain a good working knowledge of other departments in the bank to assist other employees/departments/branches to promote teamwork and good communication.
- Promote a positive bank image in the community.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education & Experience
Previous cash handling, sales and/or customer service experience a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Basic computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail in previous work history.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
