Production / Operations Employee
Full Time
This position is utilized by our location to fulfill multiple roles throughout a season as it relates to all aspects of seed corn production. Tasks could include seed packaging, conditioning, treating , warehousing, and overall maintenance work in the facility. It can consist of outside work from spring through fall to help assist in the procedures of planting, inspecting, detasseling, male row destruction, and harvesting of the seed crop.
The employee must gain an understanding of our Company culture and customer relationships. Employee will be required to learn and understand the quality processes and functions both in the Field and Plant operations.
This position can include shift work, weekends, and holidays during critical times if necessary. The individual should have a good mechanical aptitude and basic computer knowledge. The individual must be able to work together with others, yet when asked, have the ability to complete tasks on their own and on time.
Requirements
1) Reliable , Dependable , Good attitude
2) Ability to perform tasks safely
3) Compliance with location policies and procedures
4) Ability to perform physical labor, Lift greater than 50lbs
5) Forklift experience preferred
6) Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
7) Basic computer knowledge preferred
8) Communicate effectively
9) Willingness to be flexible and work in both plant and field
10) Resume required
