Position Responsibilities:
- Patient Account Management in a behavioral health setting.
- Manages monthly accounts receivable for designated accounts.
- Resolves unpaid claims and self-pay balances.
- Works with payors to ensure proper reimbursement is received.
- Creates billing statements, send appeals when necessary, prepare accounts for collections and handle all correspondences.
- Identify and escalate payor, reimbursement, or process issues.
Education, Competencies and Credentials:
- 2 to 4 years of medical account receivable experience required.
- Experience with medical billing, denials, and approvals.
- College degree and/or EMR experience preferred.
- Experience working with MS Office and online payor portals (i.e. NaviNet)
Hours: M-F 40 hours per week
