SUMMARY:
The CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE ensures that customers receive the best sales service possible through processing orders, preparing general correspondence, and coordinating with other departments as required.
ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Accurately record and process orders and /or inquiries.
- In a courteous and professional manner, provide product quotes, order status and shipping information to customers.
- Use clear guidelines and tables to calculate and quote product prices.
- Prepare timely company billing, bills of lading, shipping labels and freight claims.
- Process request for company information promptly.
- Inform the manager of any problems, deviation in lead times, or special requests of customers.
- Perform functions of absent office employees to ensure uninterrupted workflow and communication.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year of general office experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skill with the ability to interact effectively at all levels. Professional attitude and appearance.
- Working knowledge of general office practices, procedures, and use of office equipment.
- Solid English skills, both verbal and written, including accurate spelling and punctuation.
- Accurate typing of 50 WPM with PC literacy in word processing and spreadsheet applications, ideally in MS.
- Organized, detail-oriented and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Creative problem-solver who adapts to change in a positive manner, offering ideas and insight.
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to access and navigate the production facility.
