DME Intake Specialist

This position is responsible for the day to- day functions of the Intake Management Process. In addition, this role is, responsible for implementing policies, procedures and systems for quality assurance as directed by Medicare, Medicaid and Private insurance as well as in training and educating new and existing employees on the use of Brightree system(s).

We are looking for a highly motivated specialist in Intake and document management to work with our customers on the phone, via software applications and via email.

Responsibilities:

• Required to learn multiple insurance guidelines and specific durable medical equipment requirements for various payors.
• Close communication with facilities, physician offices, patients, and insurance companies to process billing for durable medical equipment provided.
• Ability to provide a calm and caring approach to each patient and customer, especially during times of high-volume calls and client issues.
• Processes transactions in a timely manner
• Implements and adhere to policies, procedures and systems within the Brightree systems
• Ensures accuracy to optimize reimbursement while adhering to regulations.
• Monitors tasks to improve Revenue Cycle practices and increase revenue
• Ensures adherence to objectives, operating policies and procedures, and strategic action plans for achieving goals
• Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School degree required; college coursework a plus
• A minimum of 2 years of health care billing or healthcare customer service experience required
• Brightree experience highly desirable
• Basic knowledge of durable medical equipment and insurance billing
• Strong communication skills, ability to multi-task and conduct multiple levels of service to clients from basic to in depth while maintaining task completion and timely deadlines
• Computer literate and proficient in using MS office programs
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.

At ResMed, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current base range for this position is: $16.98 - $25.46

For remote positions located outside of the US, pay will be determined based the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.
