Job Summary: The Weaver will be responsible for following all safety operational procedures while efficiently repairing minor weave stops on weave machines producing fabric. It will be essential that the Weaver supports and integrates Milliken core values of Flexibility, Improvement, Reliability, Safety and Teamwork into the daily performance of assigned responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect products to ensure that specifications are met and to determine if machines need adjustment.
- Set up and operate textile machines that perform weaving operations.
- Observe woven cloth to detect weaving defects.
- Repairing minor material stops on weave machines.
- Examine looms to determine causes of loom stoppage, such as warp filling, harness breaks, or mechanical defects.
- Remove defects in cloth by cutting and pulling out filling.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or recipient of GED preferred
- Manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and strong ability to multitask
- Positive attitude & good work ethic
- Have good hand eye coordination
- Basic mathematical, reading, and communication skills
- Demonstrate a commitment to service and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor.
- Possess patience, tact, enthusiasm as well as diplomacy in all interactions.
- Possess initiative and sound judgement in evaluating and reacting to situations.
- Possess problem-solving skills with high attention to detail, including the ability to prioritize.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision, read/comprehend
- Communicate effectively both verbally and written.

Working Conditions:
- Can work rotating shifts
- Work will be performed in a temperature and humidity-controlled environment
- Must be able to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift to 25 lbs. when performing specific job tasks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Work Schedule:
- 12 hour rotating shifts
- two weeks on days, two weeks on night
- Day shift 8am to 8pm. Night shift 8pm to 8am
