Key Responsibilities and Qualifications


Job Description

The Technical Analyst position is responsible for supporting the technical aspects of the implementation and support of core products and services for RMS client solutions.

Candidate will perform a variety of analysis functions including but not limited to, understanding client product usage, supporting implementations, researching client reported issues, interacting with internal business units for issue resolution, and communicating issue status/resolution to channel partners and end users. Technical Analyst will demonstrate an advanced knowledge of product functionality as well as the back-end systems and technologies that support our client offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with client requests/incidents received and provides technical level support for channel partners and end users
  • Troubleshoot incidents across various technology platforms
  • Effectively communicate and interact with internal/external teams for issue resolution
  • Provide guidance to client relations team on product abilities and configurations
  • Perform the appropriate data analysis to validate reported issues
  • Understand and identify client/customer issues and recognize core incident trends
  • Assist the Quality Assurance team with test case execution and review
  • Work with the Business Analyst and Development team on change request and system enhancements
  • Perform SQL queries

Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment while assisting with multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional research and analytical skills of technical system issues
  • Strong computer skills with ability to learn and expertly navigate internal systems
  • Possess the ability to prioritize, adapt to change, and provide feedback on process improvements specific to Business Unit
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and attention to detail skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with internal teams and external customers in a professional manner
  • Knowledge of the healthcare claims process and revenue cycle preferred
  • Knowledge of ANSI X12 Health Care transaction sets including 837s and 835s strongly desired

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience; or 1 year in current position at RMS is required. 1 year minimum of SQL experience preferred. 

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to communicate verbally and in the written form. The employee is physically required to utilize a laptop and other electronic devices effectively. The employee must lift and/or move up to 20 pounds (laptop computer, bag, and accessories). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
