What are the responsibilities and job description for the A Operator - Horticulture position at Reynolds Lake Oconee?
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintenance on all ornamental plantings, ex: fertilizing, watering and pruning
- Installation of plant material
- Spray/record all chemicals
- Maintain mulch/pine straw areas
- Operates small equipment
- Operates construction equipment (ex: loader/backhoe)
- Supervise crew as required
- Works some weekends
Safety Requirements:
- Performs job responsibilities and operates equipment according to the company safety and training programs.
- Uses personal protective equipment as trained and required.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- Reports safety or hazard concerns to management.
- Reports any on the job injury to management.
- Takes personal responsibility for safety every day.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance or landscape installation required
- Knowledge of plant material
- Physically able to bend, stretch, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand on feet for extended periods
- Must be able to perform outdoor physical labor in varying weather conditions.
