What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lake Club Manager position at Reynolds Lake Oconee?
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all Lake Club Operations (not including Kathy’s and Banquets F&B Operations) including the following:
- Management and supervision of LC Wellness Desk Operations and Staff including:
- Managing schedules and Wellness Desk team member performance.
- Training, counseling and developing staff.
- Communication to staff of all of the pertinent information including policies, procedures, guidelines, performance reviews and other human resources processes.
- Provide facility support for all events held at the Lake Club and be the liaison for the Lake Club. Assist the Recreation and F&B teams with Lake Club special events/projects as needed.
- Purchasing of budgeted equipment for facilities/programs ensuring that everything is in good condition and ready for use.
- Performs inspections of all facilities to include front and back of house.
- Responsible for the cleanliness, care and safety of all Lake Club recreational facilities.
- Assist Director of Wellness and Director of Learning and Development in developing guidelines for training.
- Management and supervision of LC Wellness Desk Operations and Staff including:
- Oversight of Lake Club Fitness Center Operations (and staff)
- Responsible for Pool Operations and Staff (not including Food and Beverage Operations and pool maintenance) including the recruitment, hiring and training of summer seasonal pool staff. This includes staff for Lake Club, Linger Longer, Landing and Great Waters pools.
- Management of all Common Areas (indoor and outdoor)
- Responsible for Payroll Administration for all Lake Club staff and seasonal pool staff. Maintaining accurate UKG entries, edits, and processing payroll.
- Responsible for department vendor setup, invoice approvals and processing
- Responsible for merchandise ordering and inventory processing. Works with the Director of Merchandising to order and display merchandise creatively, introducing new ideas and products, and catering to our members’ needs and tastes.
- Assist in Point of Sale maintenance, including entering purchase orders, receiving inventory, and inventory tracking.
- Ensures that sales receipts, daily reports and inventory audits are performed as directed
- Management of the Summer Recreation Staff and Seasonal Rental Program including but not limited to SUPs, bicycles, and kayaks.
Qualifications/Requirements/Experience/Education:
- Prefer four-year college graduate in Recreation or related field.
- 3 – 5 years of supervisory experience preferred.
- CPR/AED and First Aid certified.
- Professional appearance and attitude.
- Of good moral conduct to be a role model for children, families and staff in accordance with company standards.
- Enthusiastic and energetic personality that works well in a team environment and self-starter.
- Excellent Computer skills required.
- Proven track record of working with all ages in a recreational capacity.
- Ability to enforce policies and standards of the department with both small and large groups of members and guests.
- Must possess a sound physical condition and be able to lift and pull equipment of 50lbs. or more. Ability to work outdoors in any kind of weather.
- Must be able to swim and comfortable around water.
- Strong communication skills both oral and written.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Reliable transportation is required.
