Software Engineer

Full-Stack Software Engineer, Senior, React, Python – Remote

Our client is currently working on a second product revolving around data and analytics in the oil and gas space. They are seeking a full-stack software developer to join their team. In this role, you will significantly impact both the business and technical direction of their online marketplace platform and data platform.

What will you be doing?

• Collaborate with stakeholders and management to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements
• Design and develop the online marketplace and data platform using Python, JavaScript, React, Postgres, Django, Django API development, Git, Linux, and AWS
• Work with the team to develop features and solve complex technical problems
• Ensure code quality, security, and scalability
• Debug and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback

What are the minimum qualifications?

• 4 years of experience in software development
• Strong experience in Python, prefer Django but open
• JavaScript/TypeScript and React
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with team members
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects

What will make your résumé stand out?

• Postgres
• AWS preferred, open to GPS and Azure
• Experience with ESRI or other types of geospatial programming
• Experience in the oil and gas energy industry
• Experience with Apache Airflow
