Housekeeper

This position is a day-shift position with alternate weekends. The preferred candidate will have experience in waxing/buffing floors and must have a valid NY/NJ or CT Driver License in good standing for 3 years to be considered for this position.

JOB SUMMARY:

Cleans and maintains the physical environment of the Agency and its facilities. Adheres to all sanitation requirements consistent with regulations to prevent the spread of disease and hazardous infections.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Housekeeper  

• Cleans and maintains all contact surfaces, bathtubs, toilets, bed frames, feeding pumps, mats, etc., by scrubbing and scouring using arms and hands as the specific task dictates.  These functions require the need to bend, reach, stoop, push/pull, and lift furniture with weights up to 60 lbs.
•  Maintains all floor surfaces throughout the facilities by sweeping, dusting, scrubbing, performing stain removal, and carpet cleaning. This requires the ability to bend, reach, crouch and stoop to ground level.  
• Cleans stairwells, ceiling, and window surface by climbing and descending stairs throughout the facility and balancing on a ladder.
• Stores chemicals and equipment in the janitorial closet by reaching and bending to ground level and measuring and pouring chemicals into appropriate containers.
• Cleans and sanitizes housekeeping equipment by scrubbing and scouring.
• Other duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:  High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Experience:  Minimum 1 year experience as commercial housekeeper preferred.

Other:  Must have a valid driver's license and complete and maintain Richmond Driver Authorization.

The salary for this role is $15-$16.89/hour and based on experience.
