What are the primary responsibilities in the Assembly Technician position?
- Assemble complex electronic hardware products including installation of electrostatic discharge (ESD) sensitive circuit card assemblies inside various enclosure and chassis types
- Communicate regularly with engineering and management regarding problems impacting assembly
- Create and update assembly instructions
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a production environment building cables and wiring harnesses, including soldering & crimping
- Experience using digital multi-meters (DMM)
- Ability to read schematics & drawings, follow technical assembly instructions, and interpret engineering blueprints
- Basic computer skills such as emailing, record keeping, and data entry for ordering & inventory transactions
- HS Diploma and Associates Degree (or equivalent 2 years of post-high school relevant work experience)
- US Citizenship
- 3 years of experience in a production environment building cables and wiring harnesses, including soldering & crimping
- Experience supporting continuous improvement projects to impact production safety, quality, delivery lead times, and/or cost
- Basic understanding of electrical components (ex: resistor, capacitor, diode, integrated circuit)
- Experience supporting quality assurance
