Our new Commercial Services team will streamline and guide how we invest in and harness technology for Commercial. This team will modernize our manual processes, addressing pain points and focusing on initiatives to improve customer experiences. We see Commercial Services as the engine room with their focus on post deal tasks such as invoicing, trade finance, shipping and laytime. Commercial Services is a unique opportunity to bring digital technology to the business, to create more synergies between teams and to bring together business improvements to achieve business excellence.

The key objective of the role is to be a team member within the Commercial Services team and take ownership of contracts and sales orders, invoicing, trade finance and logistics for Atlantic business.

Reporting to the Team Lead Copper Products, the Commercial Analyst will:

  • Support the customer sales/service group with contract processes
  • Manage inventory and warehouses to ensure just in time delivery
  • Manage month-end reporting activities
  • Be customer-oriented and responsive to the customer service team
  • Perform routine activities in Commercial Services like invoicing, sales orders, contract entries. purchase orders and purchases for resale activities
  • Manage copper products including cathodes and copper concentrate, plus gold, silver, and molybdenum
  • Perform customer returns, metals accounting, management of weighing, sampling, assaying, and umpire processes required for some roles
  • Manage production and logistics delays and challenges. Work with relevant parties to minimize impact
  • Solve system issues related to customer service needs

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Knowledge in customer service / trade operations / trade finance / sales operations / sales administration / logistic coordination
  • Ability to work in a large matrix team environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Technical and financial knowledge to be able to understand internal customers’ behaviour and processes, plus costs, and market knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP
  • Knowledge of PowerBI, Excel and other BI tools
  • Knowledge of trading in metals and minerals preferable
