River Market Community Co-op is hiring a Customer Service Manager!
River Market Community Co-op is seeking an individual who is looking for a new opportunity to expand their current growth with a strong, hard-working team of cooperators. We are a 45-year-old retail food cooperative in Stillwater, MN with a long history of community involvement, robust connections with local food producers, and a rocking staff.
As a member of the River Market Community Co-op team, you will ensure great customer service by maintaining a positive work environment for employees and a positive shopping experience for customers within the mission and values of River Market Community Co-op.
YOU'RE GOOD AT
- Providing and improving upon a high level of customer service and communication with all customers
- Modeling exceptional customer service skills and communication expectations to cashiers and other staff
- Processing customer service-related issues and following up to minimize reoccurrence of similar problems
- Monitoring employee effectiveness, attitude, compliance to policy, and productivity and ensuring efficient labor utilization while providing exceptional customer service
- Helping set expense and labor goals
- Scheduling department staff to the store’s needs to ensure hours worked do not exceed budget
YOU BRING
- A history of fostering a communicative and caring culture by consistent goal setting, re-directing, coaching, mentoring, praising and discipling
- Knowledge working with POS systems and experience in customer facing positions

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior leadership experience (3 years preferred) in a customer service setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with POS systems
- Able to multi-task, perform repeated bending, standing and reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs
- Proficient in basic arithmetic including counting, addition and subtraction
- Computer proficiency in: MS Office-Outlook, Excel, Word
- Ability to work varied hours and days
