River Ridge Living Center -
We seek to hire a Dietary Technician to assist the Director of Food Services in assessing individual nutritional needs, implementing dietary prescriptions, and providing feedback on nutrition therapy acceptance and tolerance. Dietary Tech will also work in conjunction with our Registered Dietitian.
JOB SUMMARY :
1. Collect, calculate, and record medical record nutrient intakes as necessary (Calorie count)
2. Weekly meal rounds, resident visits daily, distribution, and retrieval of residents" selective menus.
3. Update diets / food preferences on a computer system.
4. Keep the Food Service Director informed of changes in resident status, diet, or nutritional problems.
5. Update seating charts in dining rooms.
6. Complete MDS on the computer.
7. Complete dietary assessments annually and quarterly.
8. Assist with tray tickets as needed.
9. Monitor the temperatures of food with test trays.
10. Attend care plan meetings.
11. Perform daily clerical duties about menus.
12. Other assigned duties
QUALIFICATIONS :
A minimum of an Associate Degree in nutrition is preferred.
Must have Long Term Care experience.
Knowledge of applicable State & Federal guidelines.
Maintain pleasant working relationships, organizational skills, and strong computer skills.
Ability to perform the essential functions of this job.
Flexibility in work schedule and assignments to meet the needs of the job, unforeseen illness, or other crises.
