What are the responsibilities and job description for the POKER CHIP RUNNER (PART-TIME) position at Rivers Casino, Des Plaines?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Providing guests with chip service from the cage.
Assisting guests with seating.
Assisting Poker Dealers and Poker Room Supervisors in the starting, combining, and
breaking of Poker games.
Ensures compliance with all regulatory controls both internal and external including but
not limited to the state and federal laws and the IGB regulations..
Ability to maintain high levels of productivity.
Maintaining the cleanliness of work areas, including the collection of chip trays and
returning them to designated areas.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Perform the duties and responsibilities associated with the Illinois Gaming Board
Statewide Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program as described in Section A of the Rivers
Casino – Des Plaines ICS.
Qualifications: (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
Must be 21 years of age or more.
Must possess excellent customer relations and communication skills.
Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
Available to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays.
Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.
Physical and Mental Demands:
Regularly required to stand for extended periods of time, see, walk, talk and hear; use
hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
Must be able to identify colors.
Frequently required to meet deadlines.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Able to work with others while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
Able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
