Overview
The Environmental Services Supervisor overseas the team members day to day operation. Creates work schedules, evaluates their performance and resolves employee complaints. Additionally, this Supervisor is responsible for the quality of work, the productivity of the department, the moral of the department, the working relationship with the medical staff, and employee adherence to facility and departmental policies, procedures and guidelines.
What you will do
- Interviews, selects and onboards team members. Provides training in accordance with RHS policies and aligns with regulatory environment of care standards. Provides training during onboarding, annual recertification, and on an as needed basis.
- Assists in maintaining a safe patient care environment by consistently complying with RHS, DNV, State and regulatory standards to ensure the safety of patients, visitors and staff.
- Conducts inspections in area of responsibility daily ensuring quality/infection control measures are met consistently with appropriate documentation forwarded to department Manager.
- Demonstrates and ensure team understands and responds effectively to suggestions and concerns from patients/visitors, personnel, medical staff and leadership.
- Demonstrates the ability to organize the work of self and department team members.
- Works with employees assigned, to ensure that all employees demonstrate an acceptable level of competence which will result in a high level of quality work performance.
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED, (Required)
Experience
- 1 year Healthcare or Hospitality Housekeeping Experience (Required)
- 1 year Supervisory experience in Housekeeping (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
- AHA Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) (Preferred)
