What you’ll be working on:
- Assist the Shop Superintendent in ensuring that the manufacturing process results in a product that meets the customer’s requirements.
- Update the forecast and daily production schedules.
- Assist in the scheduling of fabrication tasks.
- Maintain the internal scheduling software database.
- Verify estimated hours for sequences are in the Sequence Plan.
- Supervise and coordinate material procurement with purchasing to meet requirements of fabrication sequence plans based on construction schedules and shop requirements.
- Facilitate workflow while keeping the workplace clean and efficient.
- Make rounds at regular intervals, replenishing operators with tools or material.
- Work from sequencing plans that provide a consolidated work sequence, budgeted hours, and required fabrication and delivery dates.
- Enter production sequence into internal scheduling program.
- Assist in productivity tracking and establishing shop production rates.
- Provide daily material restock to designated work stations
- Assist in 5S and Lean activities as required
- Identify and assist in process improvement opportunities
- Perform other tasks as needed or requested
- Team player with passion, customer focus, a demonstrated sense of urgency to resolve issues as they arise, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Receives direct supervision from the Operations Manager.
- Performs administrative or technical responsibilities.

Minimum Physical Requirements:
- Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy and hazardous areas.
- Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other adverse locations.
- Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch.
- Work in all types of weather.
- Must have working knowledge of all trade materials and tools.
- Ability to lift and carry 51 to 75 lbs. occasionally, and/or 31 to 45 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 16 to 22 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
