We are seeking an Accountant to join our team the Des Moines area. In this role, you will be responsible for performing accurate and responsible accounting, including reconciliation and balancing of fiscal information such as expenditures, revenue, and other related financial and operational data.Responsibilities:• Analyze financial statements for misstatements, trends, and erroneous information• Prepare, review, and distribute monthly financial statement packets• Monitor expense and revenue accounts to ensure they are in line with budgeted amounts• Ensure compliance with internal and external controls• Assist with the coordination of necessary set up for new client onboarding• Prepare and file online Lobbyist reports and State filings for PACs• Process accounts payable checks and distribute for signatures• Prepare accounts receivable invoices for billings in accounting software• Perform quarterly tax procedures and filings• Assist in the completion of year-end tax and audit work• Execute year-end procedures, including the preparation of W-2s, year-end payroll taxes, 1099s, etc.• Use accounting software systems for account coding and account reconciliation• Perform daily bank reconciliations.
Salary : $65,000 - $80,000
