This role involves undertaking the responsibilities of an Accounting Clerk, where you will be expected to perform a variety of technical accounting tasks in the preparation and maintenance of the budget and accounts payable functions.

- Perform duties related to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including data entry and maintenance of vendor W-9 files.
- Oversee the vehicle fleet lease program and ensure its smooth operation.
- Match invoices with the corresponding purchase orders and review financial documents for discrepancies.
- Conduct timely research and resolution of any discrepancies found in financial invoices, credit memos, statements, and other financial information.
- Reconcile bank accounts maintained by the Finance Department and prepare checks for submission to the Treasurer.
- Prepare and manage cash receipts documents.
- Assist in the preparation of financial and statistical statements and reports.
- Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Maintain digital and physical financial records and enter financial transactions into the accounting database.
- Assist in the procurement process as needed and participate in quarterly and annual audits.
