We are seeking a diligent Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Discovery Bay, California. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for handling a variety of tasks related to accounts payable, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices and maintaining precise records. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the accurate and efficient processing of invoices and maintain up-to-date accounts payable records.
- Ensure invoices are correctly coded and approved before entry, in compliance with company policies.
- Manage and maintain customer credit applications, ensuring all data is accurate and updated.
- Handle check runs, ensuring the process is carried out on a consistent schedule.
- Assist in potential upgrades to the ERP system in the future, contributing to process improvement.
- Support the transition of the incumbent to a Project Accounting Role by assisting with training.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry and other related tasks.
- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
- Collaborate with a team to ensure efficient operation of the accounts payable function.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) operations
- Ability to manage Check Runs efficiently
- Experience in Coding Invoices accurately
- Strong skills in Data Entry
- Proven track record in Invoice Processing
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of integrity and reliability
- Relevant experience in a similar role would be advantageous
