Accounts Payable Clerk

Description

We are seeking a diligent Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Discovery Bay, California. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for handling a variety of tasks related to accounts payable, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices and maintaining precise records. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the accurate and efficient processing of invoices and maintain up-to-date accounts payable records.
• Ensure invoices are correctly coded and approved before entry, in compliance with company policies.
• Manage and maintain customer credit applications, ensuring all data is accurate and updated.
• Handle check runs, ensuring the process is carried out on a consistent schedule.
• Assist in potential upgrades to the ERP system in the future, contributing to process improvement.
• Support the transition of the incumbent to a Project Accounting Role by assisting with training.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry and other related tasks.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
• Collaborate with a team to ensure efficient operation of the accounts payable function.
• Address and resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) operations
• Ability to manage Check Runs efficiently
• Experience in Coding Invoices accurately
• Strong skills in Data Entry
• Proven track record in Invoice Processing
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of integrity and reliability
