We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Business Intelligence (BI) Consultant based in Cleveland, Ohio. The role is an integral part of our team, where you will be responsible for delivering standard and custom BI and data visualization solutions for operations and financial use. You will work with large-scale business intelligence programs and have the opportunity to influence non-technical aspects of technology implementation or change.
Responsibilities
- Perform data preparation work, including sourcing, scrubbing, mining, and integrating relevant data sources for the delivery of BI and data visualization solutions.
- Develop BI Dashboards and reports, and perform time-saving analysis for business leaders.
- Evaluate data to identify problems, opportunities, and risks.
- Provide support to convert ideas and business needs into meaningful report/dashboard designs and data requirements.
- Design SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Work with technical, support, and functional teams to implement and maintain large-scale business intelligence programs.
- Use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Maintain the integrity in data collection, interpretation, and dissemination, ensuring the information is kept confidential.
- Utilize strong communication and persuasion skills to create messaging materials that meet stakeholder preferences.
- Utilize your experience in a wide range of analytics, Power BI, and big data technologies.
- Applicant must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant field
- Proficiency in BusinessObjects Technologies is required
- Familiarity with Cognos Business Intelligence is essential
- Demonstrable knowledge of Database management is necessary
- Experience with EO/IR systems is a must
- Skills in MicroStrategy Development are highly desirable
- Knowledge of AB Testing techniques is beneficial
- Proficiency in Analytics and Business Intelligence (BI) is required
- Familiarity with Business Intelligence Technologies is essential
- Experience in preparing Business Requirement Documents is necessary
- Previous experience in a Manufacturing Company is a plus
