Cable Technician

We are offering a contract for a permanent position as a Cable Technician in Salt Lake City, Utah, 84101, United States. The role involves the installation and maintenance of low voltage wiring and server infrastructure in data centers and offices. The position requires extensive travel, with expenses covered.Responsibilities:• Installation and management of low voltage cabling systems• Construction and arrangement of server racks as part of the infrastructure setup• Wiring and node installation during office remodels or build-outs• Participation in the establishment of new data centers or offices• Work with access control and video surveillance systems• Management of high-ceiling cabling tasks, which may involve work on a ladder or lift above 6 feet• Gaining experience in comm room operations or fiber handling• Punching down to a comm room to switches• Ensuring the efficient and accurate installation of CAT5 and CAT6 cables• Maintenance and troubleshooting of server installations.
