Collections Specialist

We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our team on a contract-to-permanent basis in Sanford, Florida. In this role, you will play a key part in managing the revenue cycle, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail to effectively track accounts receivable and address customer account discrepancies.

Responsibilities:

• Process incoming payments promptly and accurately, allocating them to the appropriate open invoices.

• Monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely reimbursement and identify any delinquencies.

• Communicate with internal teams to resolve payment issues and determine the causes of discrepancies.

• Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate parties for further action.

• Send account statements to customers and maintain accurate financial documentation.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to address payment concerns and reduce deductions.

• Utilize workflows that align with the revenue cycle processes to streamline operations.

• Conduct daily transactions related to the revenue cycle, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Assist in developing methods to improve collection processes and enhance overall efficiency.

• Proven experience in collections, including commercial and consumer accounts.
• Strong knowledge of collection processes, billing, and credit-related procedures.
• Proficiency in using NetSuite or similar financial systems.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrated understanding of revenue cycle components and customer engagement strategies.
